Moon + Mana began in 2019 from a shared passion between a mother and daughter who connect deeply over all things spiritual — crystals, energy healing, and the belief that intention can transform everyday rituals. When we were ready to share our handmade candles for the first time, we searched for a market that wasn’t just for makers, but for like-minded souls who would appreciate the energy behind them. That search led us to Vanessa and the Holistic Healing Fair in Barrie – our very first in-person market. We had no idea what to expect, but our crystal-infused, energy-charged candles sold out, and the warmth of that community gave us the courage to keep going.
From there, we travelled across Ontario to other Holistic Healing Fairs, connecting with kindred spirits – healers, makers, and lightworkers. Those early experiences helped us grow not just as a business, but as a mother-daughter team. They reminded us that there’s real magic in following your intuition and saying yes to what lights you up.
Every Moon + Mana candle is created with mindfulness – from scent blends inspired by emotion and energy to the crystals intentionally placed in each jar. Our clean home-fragrance collection features coconut-soy candles, room sprays, and reed diffusers, all handcrafted in our Northern Ontario studio using high-quality, non-toxic ingredients. At the heart of our name, “Mana” means life force – the energy that exists in all things. As women, we live in rhythm with the cycles of the moon – waxing and waning, creating and releasing, constantly evolving. The moon illuminates the darkness, just as the flame of a candle does, reminding us that even the smallest light has power. Together, Moon and Mana represent the harmony of intuition and energy – a reflection of how we move through the world and what we pour into every creation.
Like any journey, ours has had its share of challenges and unexpected turns. But time and again, we’ve learned that every detour is simply a redirection toward something better aligned. When you stay authentic and lead with heart, the right opportunities will always find you.
