March starts while Mercury is Retrograde in Pisces (Feb 26). Mercury will station Direct on March 20 and in his post shadow until April 10. Mercury in Pisces is a time in which our creative mind is heightened, our intuitive facilities are spot on. But when he is Retrograde the trickster comes out to play. Here he infuses confusion, fantasy and disillusionment, into miscommunications. This is a deep subconscious retrograde phase and there will be some unconscious slips. Secrets are being revealed. The theme of the years is about embracing a new identity, and to do so, one must fist release the past identity, a karmic identity and karmic thoughts that are standing in the way of embracing the new. Mercury’s natural ruling signs are Gemini and Virgo.
Speaking of Virgo, we will be experiencing a Total Lunar Eclipse on March 3 at 12 degrees of Virgo. Lunar Eclipses are all about releasing, purging and letting go. There is a connection between Mercury Retrograde being in Virgo’s opposite sign of Pisces, and the Eclipse in Virgo. There will be some deep purging taking place on all levels of BEing, Physical (Virgo), Emotional (Moon), Mental (Mercury Rx), and Spiritual (Pisces). There will be karmic activations, and you may find your Dharma (path of service) is also going to be shifting. Before we can embrace the new, the old must be discarded, and March is a month of release. All I can say is the more you resist and hold onto the past (identity), the more painful it will be for you. If you can see where changes need to be made, then I strongly suggest, flowing with the river and let go consciously. If you are forced to let go unconsciously, then who knows, maybe you are the one telling secrets you shouldn’t be, even if accidently, and then live with the karmic repercussions.
With Mercury Retrograde in Pisces, it may be difficult to concentrate. But you will have a little help from Jupiter stationing direct in Cancer (Mar 10). Jupiter direct will bring opportunities, but you must keep your eyes open to notice them. Many times, he offers opportunities, but because we are so stuck in needing something to happen in a specific or certain way, we don’t see or embrace the opportunities he brings (let go of the old ways). “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink”. Is the universe leading you to water, and you are refusing to drink it? Ponder on that!
A light bulb will turn on in your subconscious mind with the Full Moon in Pisces (Mar 18). Not only can you see in the dark, but your creative facilities will be at an all time high. Meditate!
The Spring Equinox will be ignited with the Sun moving into Aries (Mar 20), yes, and shortly thereafter, on the same day Mercury stations direct!
Your creative energies and projects are supported by Saturn sextile Pluto (Mar 28). It is time to advance into the new you, with discipline and compromise.
